Backcountry overnighter + White water rafting

Highlights:  Swimming wholes, waterfall, cascades, natural and human history, CCC remnants, great gourmet meals and adventure.

Big Creek River which was home to a booming community focused on logging is where we find ourselves as the trip begins.  We have the opportunity for numerous breaks at some of the best swimming wholes in the park as we trek up a moderate incline on an old logging bed to our camp for the evening.  Upon arrival at our site, your guide will prep camp and setup the tents as you may choose to lounge by the crystal clear river or learn the basics of backcountry living with your guide.  As you warm up by the fire from swimming and exploring, the group will enjoy a great backcountry gourmet meal prepared and served by your guide.  The 2nd day, depending on the group and itinerary that was agreed upon prior to the trip, offers a climb to a great fire tower or a moderate hike back down the river.  Either choice leads us to the finally of whitewater rafting with class IV rapids on the Big Pigeon River.
Highlights:  Swimming wholes, waterfall, cascades, natural and human history, CCC remnants, great meals and adventure

Difficulty:  easy-moderate.  (Fire tower option is strenuous)
