An auto-tour adventure into the Sugarland Valley
(3-hour tour)

Price per person:  $45.00

Experience the Smoky Mountain National Park in a new way.  Smoky Mountain Guides will lead you on a tour through some of the oldest mountains in the world. During this auto-tour, learn why moonshine was not only a “cat and mouse” adrenaline rush between its maker and the feds; but also a way to allow families to purchase school books, feed their children and much more to a poor mountain community.  Become immersed in the beauty of the Smokies and educated on the points of interest most locals don’t even know about.  We will climb in elevation from 1200 feet to 5046 feet,  as we experience the valleys, peaks, and everything in between.  There are multiple photography stops and opportunities to get out in the fresh mountain air.  Upon the return to modern day, take a stop at the dedication spot of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park before heading down the mountain and ending at the Sugarland’s Distilling Company, where you can enjoy a taste of moonshine that provided many a way of life years ago.

3 hour tour

Price per person: $45.00

Sightseeing in the "high elevations" of the Great Smoky Mountains can be an experience that won't soon be forgotten.  We travel past the Appalachian Trail and traverse the Crest of the Smokies as we take in the sights above 5000 ft.  You will gain facts of the area from your guide that will make these mountains come alive with Native American stories and geographical facts.  We travel into the North Carolina side of the National Park to take in the vistas and learn about the impact logging had to the area.  You will be amazed how the forest has reclaimed itself over the years.

3 hr tour-$55 per person (4 person minimum)

Traveling through the Sugarlands Valley, across the crest of the Smokies and back down into the Oconaluftee water shed towards Cherokee, NC is where we are heading.  "Look to the left, this is why the Native Americans called it Shaconage, the land of the blue smoke."  "To the right, is where we are going to stop and walk a short distance to one of the largest turbine grist mills of the area."  Before we head back, we will allow for time to explore a large mountain farm created to mirror culture of the 1800s.  Explore the Oconaluftee visitor center and if your lucky catch a glimpse of the Elk in the valley.
